Offices are starting to reopen. But with capacity limited by distancing protocols, companies are using algorithms and employee surveys to decide who needs to be there now.

Companies reopening their workplaces are wrestling with a thorny problem: who should come back soonest.

ChipCutter Pick me last please!

maggieNYT I will volunteer to go back last.

maggieNYT Very little reason or need for workers to go back to an office. It’s going to take an act of god to get on an elevator in a timely manner, go to the bathroom, go to lunch. A bunch of wasted time. To say nothing of sitting at your desk w a mask on.

Why? Why force employees into a closed space with high risk of spreading/getting a virus with no cure? Offices are obsolete, covid19 just made it more evident.

This is easy. Office workers return when the pandemic is over.

nice

Does the song on my profile have potential to blow up?

The 6 million cases of COVID are less than 2%. Only about 500,000 thousand have it at any one time! We are worried about .15%? Those at risk are defined. 90% of the deaths are over 65 with underlying conditions. Isolate them! Approx -6,189,079 have recovered.

Not worker safety

Aside from certain industries that require onsite operators. Nobody needs to be in offices anymore. Future is wfh and traffic free.👍🏼

That algorithm is directly saying who needs to be fired as one is not needed now (therefore might never be again)
