JOHOR BARU: The state government will use the next seven days to gauge the situation before reviewing the operating hours for businesses.

State Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Ayub Jamil said this was important following a recent spike in Covid-19 cases due to the Bakawali cluster.

“Whether we will cut short business hours, it will be decided upon the advice by the National Security Council , ” he said when contacted. He reminded the people to follow the standard operating procedures under the recovery movement control order to help bring down the infection rate.
