KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia ended higher in tandem with an uptrend in regional bourses, thanks to positive market sentiment.

Stocks and other risk assets rose on Monday as signs that Donald Trump's health was improving brought relief to markets after the uncertainty of his Covid-19 infection sent investors rushing for safety last week, Reuters reported.

At 5pm, the FBM KLCI advanced 12.13 points to 1,512.43 after moving between 1,513.37 and 1,498.81. The index opened marginally higher at 1,501.08 this morning against Friday’s closing of 1,500.30. In today’s session, 19 of the KLCI-component stocks were traded higher, four counters fell while the remaining seven closed unchanged.
