Trump tweets that he's leaving the hospital and says 'don't be afraid of Covid,' a deadly virus that's killed over 209,000 Americans

"Don't be afraid of Covid. Don't let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago!" Trump said. President Donald Trump on Monday announced he's leaving the hospital after staying the weekend following his COVID-19 diagnosis, using it as an opportunity to once again downplay a virus that's killed nearly 210,000 Americans.

The president was diagnosed with COVID-19 late last week, and was transferred to Walter Reed as his conditioned worsened on Friday. Despite his condition, Trump has sought to paint a rosey picture for the country, similar to his efforts to diminish the overall threat of the virus to the public.
