senior digital media editor Natalie Jarvey and Marc DeBevoise, chief digital officer of ViacomCBS and CEO of CBS Interactive, who discussed viewership amid the pandemic and how the streaming landscape has evolved since the launch of CBS All access six years ago.

"It's intentional from the content," said DeBevoise of that shift, joking that their target audience is"anybody with a credit card" before explaining that they're trying to reach"the total household." With regard to crowding in the marketplace, Jarvey asked how Paramount+ will convince consumers they need it to be one of the three of four streamers they pay for."You can assume Netflix is probably one of them for most people," she said."So you're fighting to be one of those two or three other services that people are going to keep."

"The first two weeks of the NFL season were both top 10 start days in our history for CBS All Access," said DeBevoise, putting those games among the Grammys and Super Bowls for record viewership."I think we're going to see tremendous record growth as we head into the fourth quarter."by his father, George Savitsky, one of the patriarchs of their industry.
