Apple, Amazon, Facebook and others could face strict new rules from European regulators, according to a new report.

European regulators are reportedly preparing a “hit list” of up to 20 big tech companies that would be subject to strict new rules.

European regulators are concerned that the biggest internet companies’ hold on market share is too great, stifling competition. The list will be heavily skewed toward U.S. companies, the FT reported, and regulators could reportedly force the breakup of some companies, in extreme circumstances.
