Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA CEO Chris Rodwell says the state’s strict lockdown will be tough on businesses.

Greater Perth, the Peel region and the South West are all under a five-day lockdown after a security guard tested positive to the coronavirus.

Under the new full lockdown there are only four reasons to leave one’s home which include essential shopping, medical or healthcare needs – including compassionate requirements – exercise for only one hour with one other person, and work if you cannot work at home. “It’s going to be a tough time for businesses over this shutdown. We hope that we can come out of those five days and return to business as usual and life as usual as soon as possible,” Mr Rodwell told Sky News.
