New South Wales Treasurer Dominic Perrottet has delivered a scathing rebuke of government officials and regulations surrounding local businesses, accusing them of stifling business opportunities.

11/02/2021 Speaking at The Rocks today, the treasurer praised the innovation of many local businesses for adapting to COVID regulations by moving to al fresco dining. “Why has this not been the case for everyone since day one,” he asked.

“This is a great example of government just getting in the way, red tape, regulation, choking and stifling business. “Hopefully this is the silver lining of the pandemic that we can cut back these ridiculous regulations, not have government bureaucrats sit there with not much to do and come in and say ‘well how do I make it harder for people’. “Let’s actually get out of the way and let businesses live a little.

I like outdoor dining, in saying that not on footpaths. They are not wide enough for pedestrians never mind tables and chairs.
