Food items and other valuables worth millions of naira were reportedly destroyed following a fire incident at the popular Namu Central Yam Market in Quaan

DAILY POST gathered from a resident of the community, Alhaji Kabiri Buba, that many farmers and traders are presently counting their losses.He called on the government at all levels to come to the aid of the farmers and traders.

Reacting to the incident, the Senator representing Plateau South, Nora Dadu’ut on Monday commiserated with the paramount ruler of the area, Long Jan of Namu his Royal Highness, Alhaji Safiyanu Allahnana and the entire community especially the victims.“I commiserate with the entire people of Namu over this sad incident.“I pray to God to revive the spirit of those affected by this incident.

The lawmaker called on the government and other charitable citizens to offer support for the victims, to aid their quick recovery from the tragedy.Share this:
