Food items and other valuables worth millions of naira were destroyed by fire at the popular Namu Central Yam Market in the Quaanpan Local government Area of Plateau State on Sunday.

“I just bought my yams and inspected over 200 of them, only to be told that all of them had been destroyed by fire a few hours after,” he lamented. Dadu’ut in a statement made available to newsmen in Jos on Monday that she was saddened by the development.
