Workers who want to expand their families through adoption may face a $50,000-plus price tag on their own. Their colleagues who use fertility treatments often get generous financial support.

Sarah Mahalchick and her future husband talked on one of their first dates about wanting to adopt. There were lots of children out there who needed parents, they told each other from the start.

. But in many cases, companies that offer fertility benefits give no financial assistance to employees who want to adopt, and when they do their adoption benefits are often much less generous.

Interesting. At the two places I have worked that offered assistance with either, they offered the same coverage for both.

Adoption give us a hope to live. And this modern idea give our society tranquil.

Wow....a tax on adoption....what’s next...

I agree we shd incentive adoption but it’s bc IVF is viewed as something that is a biological need (deficiency) that is not ur fault, so subsidized, whereas adoption is viewed as a choice

Why not just have a bunch of babies you don’t care about while collecting food stamps for each one in the mean time
