Suncor, Loblaws, Cineplex, Air Canada and Telus are set to discuss their first-quarter results this week.

Suncor Energy is set to release its first quarter results on Monday. The Calgary-based company said in March it is investing in carbon capture technology company Svante Inc. as it looks for ways to reduce or offset greenhouse gas emissions from its extensive oil and gas operations.Loblaw will release its first-quarter results on Wednesday.

The movie theatre company reached a deal with its lenders earlier this year to further amend its credit agreement as it struggles through the financial impact of the COVID-19 virus on its operations.Air Canada will hold a call to discuss its first-quarter results on Friday. The airline revised its COVID-19 refund policy on April 13 after a deal with the federal government in which it will receive a total of $5.9 billion in aid, including up to $1.4 billion to support the new refunds.
