National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula says there is more than meets the eye in the fire that has totally destroyed the National Assembly building.

Since Sunday when the fire broke out, Parliament and government have held onto the line that we should wait for the outcome of the investigation into the causes. She feels strongly that there are forces of darkness at work here.

Mapisa-Nqakula is a former chairperson of the Joint Standing Committee on Intelligence and a former Minister of Defence. One would expect that her suspicions are not those of an emotional head of an institution but are based on some knowledge of security matters.Does she think there is a connection between the fire and the attempts to burn the country down in July?

Mapisa-Nqakula responding to a question about whether this fire can be connected to the July violence.

helenzille I have lost so much through investing cause I was new and didn't meet the right account manager to invest with. I was at the verge of quitting till I was introduced to Benjamin and my story changed. its worth a try I can testify on this platform, all thanks to BenjaminChristq

helenzille The more serious question is. Where/when will parliament open up to get on with the business on hand? How will this have an impact on our lives within the coming months?

helenzille She thinks..? Brilliant deduction days later....

No shit!

Sadly, that the most investigating she will do, it wil be downhill from that statement as the will never really find out what happened, Remember Senzomeyiwa, murdered with witnesses around but dololo...

helenzille Forces of darkness = ANC incompetence and neglect!

Why is she still a minister? CyrilRamaphosa please sir....show authority and leadership. We can not be an easy country where everyone do as he or she wants. Foreign nationals are disrespectful to the rule of ZAR law....people see arson as opportunity. This is TREASON.

Carl_CE50 Definitely sabotage and arson.

helenzille She is also one of the members of the RETFaction. If anyone should know if there is evil intentions underfoot, it would be her.

It is high time they move parliament to kzn

I totally agree with her

It highlighted incompetence of the ANC, government and fire fighters.

Parliament fire flares up again - SABC News - Breaking news, special reports, world, business, sport coverage of all South African current events. Africa's news leader. The fire that broke out in Parliament on Sunday has flared up again. Thick smoke can be seen billowing from the Assembly building. Inside job. They collapsed the Anc, followed by the SOE's , now the parliament. Somgaga released the lethal gas Why not just tear down the whole structure & rebuild from scratch? After all, that's our country's parliamentary building & should be the pride of the nation, not some old, raggity remnant from the old days. Some of us have no emotional attachment to it other than bad memories.
