Federal police are working with the TGA to investigate allegations of false documentation being used to attempt to import unregistered RATs

“The letter, claimed to have been issued by minister Hunt, appears to provide a NSW based company with an exemption from the requirement to include their product in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods prior to importation and supply in Australia.

Guardian Australia has contacted the TGA for comment. In a statement, an AFP spokesperson said police were investigating. “We have had a lot of trouble with companies making false claims,” he said at a press conference alongside Hunt in Canberra.

Yet we've been producing Rats in Australia and exporting them overseas because they didn't have TGA approval.. What a shit show.

Widen the scope of approval to include more reasonably, or else the situation gets perceived as favouritism. Having only six on the TGA list is narrow.
