Police have launched a manhunt following a fatal shooting in Soshanguve north of Pretoria on Monday.It’s understood a man was driving alone in his grey Mercedes Benz on the Ruth First Road when he was shot at.Family members who are on the scene cried uncontrollably as police and forensic experts were removing the victim’s lifeless body from his vehicle.
The road has been closed as forensic experts continue to comb the scene while onlookers are taking pictures and videos.Police have urged members of the public to come forward if they have any information regarding the shooting incident. Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Mavela Masondo says, “Police are appealing to anyone who might have information that can help in the investigation or assist apprehend the suspects to please call the nearest police station or call crime stop on 08600 10111.”
This is the sixth fatal shooting incident to take place in Soshanguve and Mabopane in just one month.
