The Magistrate Court in Bushbuckridge, in Mpumalanga, has postponed a case against Silence Tibane who is accused of killing the mother of his child, Nomsa Sambo.

Community members chanted struggle songs waving placards outside court. They are opposed to the suspect getting bail. It is reported that the accused was arrested after being found with items belonging to the victim and his clothes were also found with bloodstains.

“We are heartbroken especially as men, we feel embarrassed, because of the case we have attended her, we are down we are feeling sympathy to women of our community at large.”“What happened here is traumatic to us as women, we are not safe from our husbands, we love them but at the same time they are our enemies.”

STOP POSTPONING CASES. Outlaw this stupid practice. A case that goes to court must be settled then and there. Postponements are designed to enrich lawyers and advocates. STOP IT.
