KUALA LUMPUR: Today’s JaminKerja Keluarga Malaysia Career Carnival is an ongoing effort to revitalise the job market and help launch the country’s economic recovery.

Over 12,000 employment opportunities are set to be offered to job seekers at the career carnival at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

“The JaminKerja initiative is in the form of financing for employers who recruit new employees starting Jan 1, 2022, among apprentices, graduates, vulnerable groups such as persons with disabilities, ex-soldiers, ex-prisoners, senior citizens and the unemployed,” he said during the Bual Bicara programme aired on Bernama TV.

“This measure will also help launch socio-economic recovery efforts as well as boost job growth. If we look at the main goal, it’s to reduce unemployment and ensure job seekers and employers can be helped,” he added. Human Resource Development Corporation chief executive Datuk Shahul Hameed Dawood said the agency would be working with Socso to assist the government in creating employment opportunities through the initiative.
