Along with celebrating its start 40 years ago,is marking the first time the Colorado company passed the $1 billion in revenue threshold in its history.

CSG also sealed a multi-year contract extension in November with DISH Network, a primary customer for 25 years. CSG looks at the leading companies in financial services, health care, retail, technology, government, cable TV and telecommunications and sizes up how the companies are trying to improve and personalize their customers’ experience, Shepherd said. Shepherd said just as the cable and paid TV industry has its roots in Denver and grew up here, so has CSG. “We believe we are a global company and yet we’re proud of our Denver base,” Shepherd said. “It’s a great place to live. Our employees like it.
