The Portuguese-language statement did not give a reason for the dismissal of the premier, nor announce any new appointments or give indications on when the vacant posts would be filled. The Deputy Minister of Health, Lidia Cardoso, was also dismissed, the statement added. On Wednesday, Nyusi fired six ministers, including the finance and economy ministers and the mineral resources and energy minister.
