The Trailblazers are unbeaten when they take ‘business trips’, which included games in Texas, Alaska and Las Vegas this season. The last one will be to Sacramento for the Open Division State title against Archbishop Mitty of San Jose in the Golden 1 Center Saturday night at 6 p.m. “It was a focused practice,” Komaki said. “The girls are used to this. They get to sleep on time, they eat well. They’re ready to go.”

The Monarchs have seven players listed at 6-foot or taller and play a fast-paced style, according to Komaki. Sophomore guard Morgan Cheli, who’s 6-foot-2, leads the team in scoring with 14.9 points and 6.9 rebounds per game and the Monarchs have three other scorers that average nine or more.
