Should the Seahawks try to capitalize on the current wide receiver market? (In other words, are you trading DK instead of paying him?)

so even if Seattle were willing to send him to Green Bay , playing home games at Lambeau Field might dissuade D.K. from signing an extension with them and that would limit what Seattle would get from the Pack in return.I’m joking about DK not liking the cold . I doubt the Seahawks want to help the Packers reload though.

Having more or less ruled out the Chiefs and the Packers, let’s turn our attention to four teams that might be willing to pony up what it would take to convince Pete Carroll and John Schneider to trade DK Metcalf. And let’s start with the team that I think is the most likely one to be all-in on this hypothetical exercise: theThe Eagles have 3 first-round picks this year and could afford to give the Seahawks one of them to acquire DK.

Paying DK

If by capitalize you mean extend DK, then yes.

Never trading dk metcalf

Anyone else here who believes in Drew Lock?

Absolutely not. With all the turnover on this team they’re gonna need a leader. DK is 24 years old, with a rare skill set, and he’s just scratching the surface of what he’s capable of. Keeping him makes the seahawks a more attractive spot for a QB as well. Build around this man.

Pay him.

Trade him

Hell. No.

Keeping him

You never know what dk may do to stay. Sure there are teams that may want him but will they trade a 1st and 2nd for him. I have a hunch it's gonna look like that and they'll make a deal with dk.

If I’m DK’s agent, I’m saying either pay my guy Tyreek money or trade us to a pass heavy offense. Like TODAY. If they wait one more year, he could suffer an injury or his numbers dip significantly with Drew Lock at QB

Trade hands like Kearse

Yes

I’m trading him if you can get gold in return.

no one buys a jersey that says 'draft picks'

The only way I could see this happening, is if they plan on drafting a rookie QB. Some organizations believe star wide receivers who need to be fed, don’t pair well with rookie QBs. It’s unlikely, but the people who say this is impossible aren’t being objective.

If I were a betting man, I’d say they wouldn’t trade him. Pete has been spent his entire time in seattle trying to get a guy like DK.

Absolutely not. DK is one of one. He’s too special to trade away.

No no no, pay him what he deserves !!!

Are you going to ask this everyday until he is extended or traded.

No. No. And No. You dont trade a WR like DK. Even if they offer you two 1st. You pay him the 4y 100M extension and build around him. He is a Difference Making WR. His cap Hit wont be that heavy compared to the cap rising in the next years. Tylers contract looked massive too...

No Pay em

2 firsts then sure trade him, anything less epay him

No

You draft a QB next year with what you build on with all these picks. And you let a young QB have Lockett and DK and Fant. Would be a good situation for a young QB, IMO.

Yes

We let DK go there would be a riot. Are we trying to rebuild / recalibrate / whatever or are we just in it for shots and giggles and wanton self immolation?

Pay him. It was luck that he fell to where Seattle could draft him in the first place.

This crazy market for WRs will shift. You can’t pay a guy who touches the ball 8-10 times a game (or less) 12-15 % of the salary cap. Trade him.

Keep trading away the fan favorites and you won’t have many fans left.

Trade him and all of his unsportsmanlike conduct penalties.

We already have 4 picks in the top 72 this draft and tons of picks next year, including 2 firsts. We don’t need more picks. We need more young talent around DK. I hope they go O-line and Defense this year and QB next year. Pay the man.

There is no way the hawks are giving him tyreke hill money or more. The team is pretty tight with their money. I think hes going to go to the highest picks

no no no, a million times no.

Pay the man !

No.

You are trading DK to get picks that you hope turn into DK. Get a QB who can get him the ball and pay him. Don’t get cute

Pay that man! Other than Lockett PC/JS have not been able to give this team another great WR through the draft. Don’t let the potential price tag scare you because who else are we really paying on this roster atm.

Keep him.

We have no qb, no OTs, sketchy rbs and that’s just the offensive issues. Trade for pics and rebuild.

Pay

The only reason to trade him would be if he's isn't re-signing and doesn't want to be on a team without a QB. Some might say he should be tagged, I just think if he doesn't want to be in Seattle than send him somewhere he'll want to go. He deserves to be on a good team.

We need DK. He’s gonna be expensive but he’s a part of our future.

in a word, NO. we need to re-sign DK ASAP

You pay him. He’s your biggest star, and you hit on a draft pick and want to roll the dice again? Doesn’t really make sense if you are legitimately planning to compete soon.

Pay him, look what Largent did for the QB's he worked with. DK will instantly make our next starter better

Paying him
