The Recording Industry of South Africa (RISA) has sent its well wishes to globally recognised singer, Lerato Molapo, popularly known as Lira after hearing that she had suffered a stroke while in Germany for performances.

RISA Chief Executive Officer Nhlanhla Sibisi says they were immensely taken aback by the news and has sent greetings to the 43 year-old South Africa Music Awards winner and her family.

The family released a statement on Wednesday saying the singer’s speech had been affected. They said she was back in South Africa and receiving treatment in a medical facility.South Africans have taken to social media to wish her well:
