Good grief

Perhaps we do need to look at immigration but tourists, 457 visa holders and overseas students outnumber migrants by 10 to 1 or even more.Don’t they use our roads, public transport or other infrastructure? Recognise what Morrison’s push for what it is, an appeal to xenophobia!

Keep bringing in the cheap labour. Keeps costs down and profits high.

Ms Westacott and the Business Council of Australia, you have assisted in the sell off almost everything to foreign interests because “ you can’t run the business” this great Nation . But don’t worry, you have Britain and the US to bail us out if needed.

And we all live in a world where there are no externalities and 'what's good for General Motors is good for America' And did I mention the unicorns, rainbows and radium-enhanced tooth powders?

Retailers, real estate agents, builders of all kinds, & others dependent on plenty of consumers want more immigration. But there are those who just want quality in schools, health, roads, public transport, & even CULTURE. Lower growth means less stress. We need regional cities.

and rightly so Morrison a populist it seems Out of touch conservatives treating him like a puppet. We need election to get rid of Govt and hope that Labor brings about the social changes required within our economic limits Sadly Shorten as a alternative PM gives me no confidence

Don't go for the conservative knee jerk ScottMorrisonMP

Self interest at play here not national interest.

High intake of immigration means ordinary aussie will never get a real pay rise. And the rich get richer, mr average gets nothing

These are the globalists have not hesitation to sell their nation to the highest bidder, greed and evil

It’s amazing how many of these supposedly savvy MBA business czars have the one trick pony solution of more humans = greater business productivity.

So Will these businesses stop donating to the LNP

Then business get out there and ensure governments & business through development tax provide the infrastructure needed, because past liberal & labor state & federal governments haven't. In actual fact the business sector has opposed large government spending. Make up your mind

We need for infrastructure projects to catch up first. That’s just one thing. It’s all basic common sense - if we have more coming to our shores - where? We can’t just keep crowding out our main cities and roads. Public transport needs to become more reliable.

ricklevy67 Because we need more people to sell stuff to Business Council says surprisingly.

Immigration is theft.

That’s going to hurt him. He’s stuck between his xenophobic supporters and his donors. Grab your popcorn.

michaelkoziol Dana_Adele The aging is in part the result of previous immigration waves as immigrants are fed sideways into the population pyramid JAWestacott is still unable to calculate the resource requirements of Australia's population. I told her about peak oil in 2007

Government by brainfart - Jerusalem Embassy, immigration clogging transport corridors, election bus used but not used because govt jet, and now history of Scott Morrison sacking from Tourism job....what a muppet.

Lol, they are in damage control now. They need to protect their immigration gravy trains.

Of course they do, it affects there cheap labour source & bottom line. They need to stop thinking about themselves & think about Australians, they are just as bad as the banks.

'Give us our slaves...'

Don't worry Ms Westacott the rhetoric will only last till after the election.

'The necessary supply of casual gig-labour, non-superannuable fodder must be maintained...'
