An upended Arctic Council has left Canada’s Arctic diplomacy flat-footed at a time of dramatic geopolitical realignment. We must expeditiously pivot. Opinion by JShadian

The U.S. has also engaged in an enthusiastic agenda of soft diplomacy, including strengthening collaboration in mining research and formal diplomatic representation in Nuuk . The U.S. representation sits in a burgeoning Greenlandic diplomatic neighbourhood alongside Iceland, and will soon include the EU and the U.K.
