$2,000 would not even begin to cover the cost of eradicating the roaches if their method proves to be a failure. And if I was a neighbor to some bonehead lame enough to accept this offer, I would be majorly pissed off, since roaches migrate and spread uncontrollably.

I have some thoughts on this kind of thing - on one hand, small colonies of critters in the home, although it typically happens unintentionally, are a means for tenants of the home to establish some sort of critter-symbiotic identity that reflects the home’s aesthetic.
