“Sabah has an abundance of natural resources to tap into. We hope to have more and better business and social engagements with China," said Hajij.
“The current relationship between Sabah and China in various aspects also has to be strengthened for the benefit of both sides,” he added on Thursday after receiving a courtesy call from the new Chinese Consul General in Kota Kinabalu, Huang Shifang.Hajiji also hoped Chinese tourists to Sabah would return in folds after the republic’s borders were fully reopened.
“I hope Huang can help by further promoting Sabah as a tourist destination for their people back home, and to invest more here,” he said.
