SIX stores were gutted in a fire that hit the Ilagan City public market Wednesday, June 22.
CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela – A fire gutted six stores selling various goods in Building 3 of the public market here Wednesday, June 22. An unattended electric fan allegedly caused the fire that started around 2 p.m. and declared fire out after 20 minutes. Three fire trucks of the Bureau of Fire Protection here with the help of the Ilagan Filipino-Chinese volunteer firefighters and BFP-Isabela put out the fire.Mayor Jay Diaz here, who was on site during the fire, assured store owners of assistance from the city government, Paul Bacungan, city information officer, said.
