Some say they have little faith that politicians from either party can influence a bottom-line-focused corporation.

Obama gave them a large bail out and now there need more. This is a political move that has hurt the employees more. There stocks took a tumble after they announce the closure. The CEO is at fault on this. Employees blame the CEO

I think these people are victims of trumps lies. Let assure them we will support them as best we can to get back on their feet, not because they are trump voters, but because we are all Americans even though we are democrats.

As an Ohioan from near this area, these people are extremely disappointing. Trump and Repubs are to blame. People around here need to see that and stop voting against their interests. Bigotry and racism doesn't pay the bills. Stop blaming immigrants. Blame Trump, Republicans, and

There is no way that the excuse 'we're numbers' flies! Especially now! Cut some models, fine! Shave some hours, fine! Close plants in other countries, fine! But here, NO! The top brass at gm should be ashamed and resign! And I love tahoes! America first! Always!

Well, one thing is wrong with this...if GM was bottom line focused they would not be losing money.

Yeah but it'd be all that Black Man's Fault if he was in office. Actually, they're probably spinning it that way aws.

Corporate greed is corporate greed just ask TRUMP.

How could it possibly be trumps fault when the layoffs are because people aren’t buying certain products? Welcome to the free market.

its the market place ...pure and simple...those laid off Gm workers need to upgrade themselves into the 21st century economy....honda and toyota now control the sedan market and gm is going full speed ahead into electric cars...

Because they know Trump wants America to manufacture again. Woke imbeciles, not so much

Blame Trump. His followers believed him ( big mistake) when he said not to move you’ll have a job. Guess what? He lied again.

True of his peeps whether out of work auto makers or farmers, et al. ☹️

They’re right that Trump isnt solely responsible for this. It’s more the entire class of leeching, sociopathic greed-demons who are the executives or shareholders at most major companies (their motto: “go f*** yourself, uppity commoners”)

blameMary GeneralMotors

'Blaming' a business for doing business is like blaming the flu virus for giving you the flu. Instead maybe you should be upset at the doctor that told you that you don't need a flu shot because the flu couldn't make you sick this year.

If only people bought cars. They don't. Then why make cars? Is it Trump's fault that liberals and conservatives all love 'cheap gas' loving SUVs and crossovers. Logic doesn't follow.

How is it Trump's fault that GM produces some uncompetitive cars and the plants that produce those cars have seen the bulk if the job losses.

AT&T has been making cuts, too.... where is the reporting on that

How stupid can people be?

Oh, gee. Then those who voted for Trump didnt actually vote for him because he would save jobs/bring jobs back to the US. And *that* would mean that the media's (including the Post's) narrative re: 'economically anxious voters' was a sham. A lie. Shocker. JournalismIsNotACrime

TRUMP'S POLICIES INFLUENCED NUMBERS BADLY how internalized are these people's self-hatred if they can't a knowledge Trump did a single bad thing even when it turns their own lives upside down? TrumpTradeWar

Feel no sympathy for the suckers who were played by the con man.

Destroying your career to own the libs

How stupid would that look if they said yes it’s his fault. We were stupid for voting for him. All these voters wanted to shake things up. Too bad these voters were the only ones getting shaken.

USA Today had article today-with sources-blaming American taste for light trucks and SUVs over cars. Car plants not trucks or SUVs closing. Cars are popular in China.

Blaming Trump would be an admission THEY were wrong.

Some might say GM Have been on the skids for years. I couldn't possibly comment.

you can't fix stupid.

Thanks for input. Say it like it is
