Ottawa police have identified Vuyo Kashe, 36, as the victim of a shooting death late Friday on Clarence Street, near King Edward Avenue in the ByWard Market.

Police said the shooting occurred at 11:40 p.m. and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Ottawa police homicide unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 5493.The homicide was the third shooting attack in July. Two of the attacks were fatal. One man has been charged in the July 5 shooting death of 24-year-old Abdulhamid Haji Ragab, in the Banff-Ledbury area.one person was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a shooting in the 100 block of Ritchie Street, west of Britannia Village.Share this article in your social network
