'He was a passionate and charismatic member of the team'

Tributes have been paid to the two people who died in a tragic aircraft crash in Newtownards on Tuesday.

Philip was the managing director and founder of Craigavon-based security technology company Envision. The firm's parent company Johnson Controls issued a statement on Thursday to say they were 'greatly saddened' by Philip's death."We are greatly saddened to hear the news that Philip Murdock was involved in a fatal light aircraft incident on Tuesday 19th July," the statement said.

"The team at Envision are a close-knit team and we are supporting them and Philip's family through this difficult time as best we can.Both Philip and Caroline were understood to be members of the Ulster Flying Club, who said the fatal incident was now being looked at by special investigators.
