The government has a clear message: \u0027All is well.\u0027 But is that actually the case?

Hundreds of thousands came to watch the Formula 1 Grand Prix last month. Tens of thousands more are expected next week in Quebec City for Pope Francis’ visit to Canada. Despite a very serious worker shortage, most restaurants are open and packed.

Nowadays, the premier rarely holds a press conference on the subject of COVID. The regular updates are left to knowledgeable but boring department officials. Coming back from a short vacation, Legault commented on the situation Thursday, highlighting that although the government is monitoring the situation closely, “For the moment, all is well.”

Yet most Quebecers appear to have become indifferent to the virus. The first-dose vaccination rate is very high — 91 per cent — but the rate for the third dose is only 56 per cent. Only half of people over 60 years old have decided to take the fourth dose. “The COVID-19 virus will be with us for a long time. Successive waves are normal. It is becoming obsolete to talk about the seventh wave, the eighth wave. Furthermore, the planet has gone back to a nearly normal life in many countries, so it is normal that the virus circulates. However, its impact on the health of the whole of the population is relatively small,” he said.Article content

Well I expect we'll see the 10977th wave of influenza this fall, shut it all down!!!!!!!

It it will be like that after the 100th wave as well. Let it go, this is not news anymore

How dare Canadians live normal lives.

Because most of the people realize none of the measures did anything to solve anything and people are done with it all

I wonder what wave of the common cold we’re on.

Good

There was never waves, just more lazy bastards using bogus PCR tests to WFH . No tests, no waves, no pandemic.

I believe we should subject all those that want health measures to be re-imposed to be confined to their homes and they should be obligated to wear masks at all times when they leave the house and they should be disallowed from travel. That way, the rest of us can live our lives

As it should be. We need to get on with normal living

Seventh wave of BS.

Good. Can’t wait for Osheaga next week

Yes. Presently July 18, 552 in hospital with covi, in total in Alberta. That is 0.0125% of the population. In hospital. The unvaxed have 105 in hospital. 0.0103% of their population. And...0.0132% of vaxed are in hospital. Higher proportion vaxed than unvaxed in hospital.

They are learning to live with it. Common sense thing to do.

It’s coming back to get us. Maybe those rightie fake convoy truckers will catch it this time

The fact that anyone can even utter or write the phrase 'seventh wave' without bursting out laughing shows how much trouble we're in.

“Seventh wave” Enough of this too. It’s endemic now.

Good. As it should be.

Well, duh. It was about time Quebec learns to live with the virus like the rest of the continent.
