Industry Perspectives Op-Ed: How a mass timber extension for BMO Field helps Toronto achieve its sustainability goalsIndustry Perspectives Op-Ed: How a mass timber extension for BMO Field helps Toronto achieve its sustainability goalsThe recent selection of Toronto’s bid to be a host city for the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been met with great excitement as it means that our city will be taking centre stage for the world’s biggest sporting event.

The Carpenters’ Union wants to take the first step forward by using mass timber as an effective alternative building material on BMO Field’s extension and demonstrate that the path to net-zero emissions involves greater implementation of this technology on construction projects across Ontario.
