The United Dairymen of Arizona recently took down space in one of the few new, speculative cold storage facilities in the Phoenix metro.
The facility was developed by Idaho-based Cold Summit Development and has room for future expansion. Demand for cold storage spacedue to the Covid-19 pandemic and e-commerce, but much of the nation's supply is outdated, including in the Valley. "As UDA was looking to expand our product portfolio, an opportunity to vertically integrate our supply chain at Cold Summit’s state-of-the-art facility became available," said Ashley Ellixson, chief business operations officer at UDA, in an email."There are few options for cold storage in the area and this was a perfect solution as it’s in close proximity to the railroad."
Tony Lydon, Marc Hertzberg, John Lydon and Tim O'Rourke of JLL's Phoenix office team are listed as the leasing brokers for the facility.
