Voyages Behavioral Health, an affiliate of Pennsylvania-based PAM Health, announced on Monday the future opening of a behavioral health hospital in Dallas, according to a news release.

The company said the hospital would help meet the needs of North Texas. According to the release, in recent years, the number of psychiatric beds in Dallas has declined, but demand has not. According to Mental Health America Dallas’s report, “The 2022 State of Mental Health in America,” Texas ranked at the bottom of the states for access to mental health care in 2020 and 2021.
