Glasgow City Council is planning to become an accredited Real Living Wage employer to ensure workers carrying out jobs for the local authority are paid a “fair wage”.

So why doesn’t the government increase the minimum wage instead of getting local councils to guilt trip companies into paying a living wage. Surly the minimum wage should be what they consider a living wage which in my option is still to low for the majority of people to live.
