Here's the latest on a pair of commercial real estate deals in the Bay Area — one in tech and the other biotech.

A pair of real estate investment trusts, both with large Bay Area holdings in tech and biotech, are shedding some of their local real estate.

Alexandria Real Estate Equities , a publicly traded Pasadena REIT, sold a three-building Peninsula portfolio to GI Holdings, a real estate investor with offices in San Francisco and other U.S. cities. The properties, which GI calls the Peninsula Lab Collection, comprise 330,379 square feet and are fully leased, GI said. They are:341-343 Oyster Point Blvd. in South San Francisco, 108,208 square feet, sold for $130 million.
