Now, Baker Development Corp. has plans to develop approximately 1.2 million square feet of new industrial space on the 72 acres between four larger buildings. The firm declined to disclose the value of the new project, which will be called Park 52.
John Werstler, Cooper Fratt and Tanner Ferrandi of CBRE Group Inc. are the leasing brokers. Layton Construction is the general contractor, Deutsch Architecture Group is the architect and Hunter Engineering is the engineer for the project.nearly 300,000 square feet of office and manufacturing space as it moves some roles out of the San Francisco Bay Area and centralizes local operations in a smaller facility in San Jose. Other roles are moving to facilities in the Valley.
On the north side of the 28-acre property, Baker is planning to develop a 225,600-square-foot speculative industrial building, while Iron Mountain Data Centers will occupy a 122,000 to 150,000-square-foot facility to the south near the Loop 202. The industrial buildings will be available for occupancy by the first quarter of 2023.
"It will be a similar effort," he said."We feel like we're equipped for it, and we're experienced based on what we've gone through on the 28 acres ... that's why we've decided to plant a second flag there."
