“Now that more and more people are going back to work, the need for childcare has increased and we have been on a waiting list for multiple age groups for close to a year,” Kristen Lloyd, administrator at Best Friends Daycare, said in a statement.The daycare center expanded into the former space of Bagel Lovers Café. The expansion was complete on September 16 and just three days later, the daycare’s new infant classroom opened.
The daycare center cares for children from six weeks old to five years old. This expansion will allow the center to gain a few extra spaces in most age groups, Lloyd said.Best Friends Daycare has opened a new room for infants at Strawberry Square in Harrisburg. “We are thrilled to see the growth and expansion of Best Friends Daycare,” Brad Jones, president and CEO of Harristown Enterprises , said in a news release. “We are also pleased to be able to provide this space for their expansion, as they address a significant need for high-quality childcare in the downtown.”Best Friends Daycare also has facilities in Susquehanna Township, Fairview Township and New Cumberland.
