Tempe was the only Arizona location to land on the 50-city list. phoenix

A combination of arts and culture, relative affordability and abundance of employment opportunities put Tempe in second place on Money magazine’s 2022 Best Places to Live ranking.

The report said most of Tempe’s residents rent their homes, and that the average home sale price is about $470,000, higher than the U.S. average of $435,000 but affordable for people coming from more expensive coastal markets. Median household income was listed at $66,876, with the unemployment rate at 3.3%.
