Which of these two entry-level luxury rides fits your personality best? phoenix

Two good all-around choices for entry-level luxury, but unique personalities should pull buyers in one direction or the other.A little fancy, a little sporty and all-new, Acura Integra and Audi A3 prove entry-level luxury cars can be fun and practical for less than $40K.

Starting at $31,895, Integra is the least expensive entry to luxury lane, though some rivals start with more horsepower. Audi A3, along withI tested a $36,895 Integra A-Spec Technology, the loaded top model and only choice if you want the quick-throw six-speed manual transmission. The manual definitely ups the fun factor over the continuously variable automatic.

Integra’s interior is upscale but the A3 and another key rival Mercedes A-Class are classier. Consider the higher prices, though. Powering Audi A3 is a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo, which boasts 221 pound-feet of torque versus Integra’s 192 helping give the former an edge on sprints. Integra is rated at 33 miles per gallon in combined city/highway driving, a smidge above the Audi’s 32 . Acura, however recommends premium fuel.
