has expanded its plant in North Lebanon Township by 50,000 square feet. The facility on Weavertown Road now has 150,000 square feet of space. The facility has been smoking meats since 1885, and was acquired by Godshall’s in 2005 from The Daniel Weaver Company.
The expansion adds three production lines to support the existing 11 smokehouses, a 10,000 pound per hour microwave thawing system, additional raw material storage and vehicle receiving docks.Godshall's has completed the first part of its expansion of its Lebanon County plant, which has expanded the facility by 50,000 square feet of space.
“This expansion will help ensure we have the capacity to supply our loyal consumers,” Ron Godshall, president of Godshall’s Quality Meats, said in a news release. The Lebanon-area plant currently has more than 300 employees, and with the expansion plans to add an additional 60 people. Godshall’s held a “bacon-cutting” ceremony to commemorate the opening of the first part of the expansion. The second part of the expansion will take place next year. The company announced earlier this year that the entire expansion willGodshall’s was founded in 1945 and has facilities in Pennsylvania in the Telford, Lebanon and Souderton areas. In 2017, Godshall’s converted to an employee-owned company and has more than 500 employees.
