BOO Unibank, Inc. reported a 23.5 percent growth in net income to P40 billion in the first nine months of 2022 from the P32.4 billion earned in the same period last year due to solid results across its core businesses.
Non-interest income rose to P53.2 billion led by a 20 percent expansion in fees and insurance premiums, while trading and forex gains were broadly in line with expectation and primarily generated by flow-related business. Gross operating income amounted to P161.3 billion. Total capital increased to P444.6 billion, with Capital Adequacy Ratio and Common Equity Tier 1 Ratio both comfortably above regulatory minimum at 14.4 percent and 13.3 percent, respectively.
