Next to the event an indoor craft fair will be taking place at Arnold Methodist Church, with stalls selling items such as cards, festive food and gifts. There will also be a special visit from Santa at the event.Christmas markets will also be taking place outside The AMP during the run up to Christmas. Markets will be open on November 26, December 3, 10 and 17.
"It’s a perfect opportunity for people to start getting into the Christmas spirit and bring the community together to celebrate. This year, we have a new venue for the event right outside the recently completed AMP building in a dedicated community event space. This will be the first of many events for the new space and I look forward to joining our residents on what is always a fantastic night.
Ashfield District Council will be switching on its Christmas lights on Thursday, November 17, at the Sutton Market Place car park. The event will last from 4.30pm until 7.30pm with fun fair rides, live entertainment, and a Christmas market with over 40 stalls.
