As the company pivoted from one that licensed out its technology to a therapy-development company, how did you handle that internally? The credit goes to so many people. You don’t succeed on something like this when the CEO is just pounding on the table saying, “This is a priority.”No. The inclusion team really built itself. They supported routine surveys to check in on culture and helped HR on strategies to target potential new talent. Success comes when people invest in this.The cofounders were all excited by the potential — all of us. The biggest thing I underestimated was how challenging some or most of this work could be.
