, and experts believe more executives will eventually take a similar path as Musk and call employees back to the workplace as they look for ways to counter challenging market conditions.Employers made the shift to remote work out of necessity during Covid-19 and many opted for hybrid strategies as remote-work flexibility became an expectation instead of a perk in an intense talent market.

, CEO of flexible workplace platform Robin Powered Inc., said there is certainly chatter that recessionary pressure will cut into companies' willingness to allow working from home. Despite those metrics, 85% of leaders surveyed said the shift to remote and hybrid work has made it challenging to have confidence that employees are being productive.
