Arouet said it will use the grant money for new office space in Phoenix, among other things.

A Phoenix nonprofit organization that provides workforce development, education and job opportunities to women who are, or have been, incarcerated plans to expand its services after receiving a $200,000 grant from Bank of America.

Arouet said it will use the grant money for new office space in Phoenix for in-person workshops for formerly incarcerated women focusing on job readiness, financial literacy and resume building. “Bank of America’s Neighborhood Builders grant will provide critical operating support to Arouet to significantly expand our curriculum,” Arouet CEO Alison Rapping told an audience Wednesday at a Heard Museum event where the award was presented. “This is a pinnacle award. Organizations who win Neighborhood Builders funding know that it means the trajectory of their work is obviously positive and will only increase their impact. We are honored and humbled to win this funding.
