Produced at a facility in Amarillo, the beef was sold under the brand names Hill Country Fare and H-E-B. In addition to H-E-B and Central Market, the meat was sold at Joe V’s and Mi Tienda stores in Texas.from its shelves. Both the 5- and 10-pound bricks of Hill Country Fare ground beef, 73% lean were recalled, as well as the 5-pound brick of H-E-B ground chuck, 80% lean.“Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them,” the USDA said in a statement.
H-E-B customers who purchased the beef can return it to the store for a refund. Customers with questions can call H-E-B Customer Service at 855-432-4438 or Tyson Consumer Relations at 800-643-3410..
