Hidden away in a historic hall deep in the Peak District is a Christmas market which is a bit different to the one you’ll find here in Manchester. Although ours is pretty amazing, this market offers you a magical experience as you browse artisan stalls in the surroundings of a 900-year-old fortified manor house.
In the run up to Christmas, Haddon Hall is hosting various events including its Mercatum Christmas Artisan Markets, which take place over three long weekends. The markets will be open for one final weekend from December 1 - 4, just in time to put you in a Christmassy mood. Visitors can weave their way through the grounds, starting at the front of the stables where you’ll find food and drink stalls. Then enter the lower courtyard which has a spectacular gingerbread house on display among the artisan stalls.
