Elon Musk’s Boring Co. has dazzled cities with its pledges to solve traffic problems with tunnels, only to later back out

tunnel-building venture

arrived in January 2020. To the local transportation authority, it felt like finding Willy Wonka’s golden ticket. Officials had started planning for a street-level rail connection between booming Ontario International Airport and a commuter train station 4 miles away, with an estimated cost north of $1 billion. For just $45 million, Mr. Musk’s Boring Co. offered to instead build an underground tunnel through which travelers could zip back and forth in autonomous electric vehicles.

🤬😡🤬

Scam like hyperloop

...A hammer always looks for a nail.... ...How about using the tunnels for more metro stations...?

Anti Elon campaign has kicked off

Instead of putting lies out why have you not investergated the Tyrran child molester and terrorist Joe Biden?

Why are your company promoting lies?

Wsj is a rag

Oh you really are pathetic.

Atleast I appreciate the innovative approach to solve the problem which is gonna be there for decades.

The WSJ does not want to expose Biden for throwing the train workers in the dirt. Drilling dirty oil in Venezuela, Biden selling U.S. oil reserves to China. 4 million unvetted illegals flown to US cities supported, inflation, billions to Ukraine to others, Bidengate

Et tu, WSJ?

Typical Tesla Solar roofs & Residential Solar panels had lots of hype, Largely a bust Tesla $30,000 EV never produced Tesla Full Self Drive facing California lawsuit for being ghost product Space X has delivered Tesla 3 & Y delivered,in 2022 prohibitively expensive

Kinda like Twitter

What a disgusting article. Motive is to distract from Twitter Files. To much frigging liberals are employed in the WSJ.

Guess WSJ has to be like rest of their brethren main stream media and take shots at Musk 🙄

Unions killed the progress

Remember, twitter actively shadow bans millions of twitter users daily, excluding billions of tweets, this not the same thing as censorship? Sensationalizeing news threads is addictive, just ask rupert murdoch!

Boring Company has done nothing...nothing at all!

Yes, if you believe in elonmusk, you all be sorry. Look at us who owns tesla shares: 1. No FSD 2. No CT 3. No robotaxi 4. No $25K car 5. so many no no no's but lies

Hit piece after hit piece. So transparent 😆

He’s got them right where he wants them.

Even WSJ is going after Elon now

This may be a precursor of what happens to Twitter . It will be a so-so company!

How boring

Great reporting. This is not a trivial endeavor & is still in the crawling stage. Here is a closer look from earlier this year of the LVCC project & its expansion to the Strip & beyond.

bc he’s a charlatan

They are doing well in Vegas. Just expanded to Resorts World as they head south down the Strip.

Elizabeth Holmes did pretty much the same thing with her phony product yet somehow Elon Musk is able to get away with not delivering on a product while running away with the $$$.

Such a misleading terrible/false article. It completely skips over the part where TBC was subsidizing the cost. They went after other bids and wanted to pay a 3rd party company 3x what they were paying TBC. Any reasonable company would have said dueces. elonmusk boringcompany

Full court press to decertify Elon Musk.

Can’t read it, but do they talk about how hyperloop was only designed to disrupt plans for high-speed rail in California? Elmo had no plan (or capability) to deploy it whatsoever. What’s worse than a fraud? A fraud that literally undermines & attacks public transport policy.

It was always a scam and his demonstrator tunnels were not going to solve traffic woes b/c they weren't sized to make it viable alternative. Had he figured out way to make cheaper large diameter tunnel borings, he'd be on to something. Otherwise, it's his version of Monorail.

levisu

Probably for the best. So many smarter things for cities to invest in

'When it came time to formalize the partnership and get to work, Boring itself went underground—just as it has done in Maryland, Chicago and Los Angeles. Boring didn’t submit a bid for Ontario by the January 2022 deadline.'

Almost certainty because the cities themselves have made such a project impossible.

Boring Company is a scam

Wow its almost like it was a huge fucking scam

I am now boycotting and blocking the WSJ. The fact they literally write articles spinning SBF_FTX in a positive light, yet constantly attack elonmusk is absurd and nauseating.

Im sure its as simple as that.

Shhhh, Elon is too busy trolling on Twitter

He was just trying to stop cities investing in sensible public transit options to boost Tesla’s market

public transport will always be better. A hole is one new lane of traffic is all.

After male shit news and get money from SBF_FTX . Some big news try to hit elonmusk. Musk better than a paper

MSM hacks afraid Twit's freedom of speech does exchange will force them to learn to code.

Maybe because the best thing they apparently could come up with is a walled-off tunnel system full of rent-a-Tesla's?

Lmao. Media is trying to find any way at this point to attack Elon. 🤣

it's lets attack elonmusk day it seems!

Looks like they still haven't solved the 'Space Mountain' waiting in line problem, either.

You mean, make a subway that only goes 30 mph? Elon is a chud

I love seeing the left go berserk. They're the ones that pushed elonmusk to buy Twitter through court. They knew what was gonna happen, if they didn't like him to begin with, then they shouldn't have forced him to buy it when he backed out of it. 🤣

Regulations from Democrats limited him… Elon is the new Trump and it’s hilarious to watch them keep lying 😂

Giant Musk ‘Goat’ statue arrives at Tesla factory in crypto stuntPeople recently driving around in Austin might have seen Elon Musk. But not the real person. Instead, they may have seen a sculpture of Musk’s head atop the body of a goat riding a rocket, all attached to a trailer. Complete with what appear to be flames that shoot from the rocket, the statue was commissioned by the cryptocurrency company Elon GOAT Token. The company was delivering it to Tesla’s Gigafactory in Austin on Saturday, during what it dubbed “Goatsgiving.” Everyone has that one person who changed his life and will always be thankful for. As for me FixedPunters is becoming one of the best and realest tipsters you can think of. Fixedpunters is the best Denied entry into Giga Texas by Tesla security lmao
