A house described as a “slice of Toorak in Templestowe” built for an oil baron and politician to use as a holiday property is up for grabs. SEE INSIDE

Mr Panigoro also owned palm oil plantations, hotels and stakes in two banks.

Woodards Manningham partner Alec Stefanoski declined to comment on the vendor but public records show the house is owned by Mr Panigoro and his family.Mr Stefanoski said that in 2004, the owners appointed Kew East-based luxury builder Englehart to build the property, which they used as a holiday house.

The main suite features two walk-in wardrobes, an ensuite with twin basins and a bathtub, and a sitting area with an open fireplace.
